This event will explore the herbal traditions and healing customs of the Gullah culture.
Our teas were developed by Jacqueline Williams who acquired her love of herbs and plant medicines from her aunt, Big Mama, a local midwife and healer.
Zenobia Harper, Cultural Historian at the Rice Museum, will provide an introduction to the Gullah Culture in order to share her insight into this dynamic society.
A menu of Lowcountry foods will be served and paired with teas.
