About the Artist

TINA PROCTOR believes watercolor is “alive” with a unique personality.  To partner with the movement of water and pigment remains her creative motivation and her reward.

After studying advertising art at Central Piedmont College in Charlotte, NC she enjoyed more than forty years in Charlotte as a graphic designer, art director and commercial illustrator while gradually evolving toward representational fine art.  Her work has been published by retail, advertising firms, banks and non-profits, newspapers and magazines, businesses, corporations and service industries.   An active member of the Charlotte Society of Communicating Arts, she was also an exhibiting member of the Charlotte Art League,  Charlotte Guild of Artists and North Carolina Watercolor Society.  For a decade she managed her award winning freelance studio and is honored to have paintings in private and corporate collections in the eastern United States.

In 2017, Tina and her husband moved to Pawleys Island where she is involved in the local art community and continues to be inspired by lowcountry landscapes and architecture.   She is an exhibiting member in the Georgetown County Watercolor Society, currently serving as Vice President for 2020.  Her work has been included in annual shows for the Waccamaw Arts & Craft Guild in Myrtle Beach and the Island Art Gallery in Pawleys Island.  Original watercolors are shown and sold in the Georgetown Art Gallery on Front Street in Georgetown, SC along with giclee prints and notecards.  Giclee prints are also available at Seaside Framing at Litchfield Village on Willbrook Blvd at Hwy 17.
