Ann L. Taylor specializes in batik, an Indonesian art technique that transforms dye and wax into one-of-a-kind textile paintings, scarves and sarongs. Ann’s works marry traditional and abstract styles and use local and global landscapes as inspiration.
An award-winning artist, Ms. Taylor has won two first place prizes in the “Just Art” and the Winyah Arts Guild juried shows in Georgetown, South Carolina. Ann has also won an honorable mention at the Waccamaw Arts & Crafts Guild juried show at the Burroughts-Chapin Art Museum in Myrtle Beach. Ms. Taylor graduated from the University of South Carolina at Coastal where she studied art and sociology.
