The ground floor of the Old Market Building behind the Clock Tower is a studio space where workshops are held throughout the year – artists’ workshops focused on painting, watercolor and collage; craft workshops such as doll-making and basket-weaving; and Creativity workshops such as those presented by Natalie Daise. Anyone can submit a proposal to conduct a workshop.
Workshops can last one weekend (usually involving Friday, Saturday and Sunday sessions) or be scheduled over several weeks. The schedule is set by the instructor and the Museum. Registration is by telephone/email and fees can be paid at each session or for the full run of the workshop. Instructors compile supply lists – students are responsible for bringing their own supplies.
Notice of workshops will appear here on the website as well as through email notification. If you are interested in conducting a workshop, please contact the Rice Museum at (843) 546-7423.
