The ground floor of the Old Market Building is a studio space where artist’s workshops are held throughout the year – painting, watercolor, collage as well as crafts such as doll-making and basket-weaving. Anyone can submit a proposal to conduct a workshop.
Workshops can last one weekend (usually involving Friday, Saturday and Sunday sessions) or be scheduled over several weeks. The schedule is set by the instructor and the Museum. Registration is by telephone/email and fees can be paid at each session or for the full run of the workshop. Instructors compile supply lists – students are responsible for bringing their own art supplies.
Notice of workshops will appear here on the website as well as through email notification. If you are interested in conducting a workshop, please contact the Rice Museum at (843) 546-7423.
